A perfect human being
According to Britannica, a human being is a culture-bearing primate classified in the genus Homo, especially the species H. sapiens. Human beings are anatomically similar and related to the great apes, but are distinguished by a more highly developed brain, and a resultant capacity for articulate speech and abstract reasoning.
Being raised as a Christian, I was told that my ancestor was Abraham. According to my genealogy, that is far from the truth. I am a living descendant of the Aeta tribe of Negritos island in the Austro-Polynesian archipelago. Most Filipinos will tell you that I am a foreigner and an actor of great influence since I don’t exhibit any native characteristics. I have enough knowledge and wisdom to tell you that I understand every word the locals say in Tagalog since it was my first language in my formative years. I was coerced to speak in English at the age of 5. I struggled a lot with communication and expressing myself because my brain is still in Tagalog mode. Do you want to know how my mother taught me how to communicate in English? She bought me a novel and a dictionary on my 5th birthday. The novel was “Little Women.”
My ethnic group is called, "Sangley," a term which current local Filipinos no longer choose to identify mixed Chinese and native Filipino (mestizo Tagalog) or Spanish people. For 25 years, I was raised to believe I belonged to neither any Chinese or Filipino communities. To add insult to injury, I had been violently vilified by a Southern Black American woman who told me to pick a race I should belong to. Ever since that incident, I identify as "human being."
Seeing that I have 3 more years in becoming half a century old, I've come to a conclusion of what a human being should be classified as.
Human beings are bipedal, hairless, and social primates, whose body mass is about 99% made up of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Only about 0.85% is composed of another five elements: potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, & magnesium.
In Jewish tradition and sacred texts, the number of days it took to create the Earth, was within six days. Towards, the end of the sixth day, the Lord of the Universe, created human kind. To the human, the Lord granted the man, high mental ability that one could think and reach one’s own conclusions. The human named all the creatures the Lord brought forth before him and it was so. The Lord also gave the human the power of speech and commanded the man to dominate all other creatures of the earth especially the creatures of the sky. There was one angel who did not enjoy being inferior to a mortal creature.
Regardless of religion and science, there are wonderous and miraculous things happening beyond human comprehension. According to Kirk Durston, his research on infants revealed that the fundamental axioms (or laws) of logic and mathematics are already pre-programmed into their minds. For example, the infant automatically knows that the sense perception it is experiencing is actually caused by something external to itself, demonstrating that the causal principle appears to be programmed and present at birth.
Knowing what I know now than I knew back then in my formative years and throughout my adolescent years, I was denied exploring all of my senses. There are eight prominent sensory systems acknowledged by Occupational Therapy (OT) profession and Twenty-One Senses.
Even though I feel ashamed for not knowing things about myself and my body, I am rest assured that based on my upbringing, it is fundamentally normal. People who experience delayed cognitive and social skills should never be shamed, ridiculed, or ostracized. The world is full of cruel people. We don't need to add more strife to those already struggling to get by.
If human beings have the capacity to understand the viewpoint of others by the time they can speak, they can learn to improve their short- and long-term memory. Parents should help their children develop a sense of competence by giving them opportunities to master some skills like cooking, building models, making crafts, playing an instrument or learn how to gradually share the control of their child’s life by reinforcing the consequences of right and wrong moral values. Children should be encouraged to develop honest interactions and daily relationships by these ideals.
Moral principles support the child at their formative years as they shape their personality. A youngster who is raised with sound moral principles is more likely to be trustworthy, responsible, and accountable. It also enables individuals to choose wisely in the face of challenging situations.
Young children who are instilled with the concept of honesty typically carry it into adulthood. Your youngster can learn that the best policy is to always to be honest. This will teach the youngster that it is always honorable to tell the truth, even when they have made mistakes. One moral virtue that is crucial for developing one’s integrity is perseverance. Their capacity to persevere in making steady progress toward their objectives might foster the growth of critical thinking. They will benefit from this growth mindset at each phase of their lives and be inspired to take on greater challenges. Let us inform others that quitting is an intentional decision to let go or pull the plug on something that is not serving its intended purpose; where as the act of giving up is when we either hand our decision to a voice that may not have our well-being in consideration or has demanded us to relinquish our efforts of trying to succeed in completing a goal.
Human beings are created perfect and worthy of existing to experience connection, dichotomy of good and bad social relationships, and discover their sense of spiritually and purpose. When the God of the Universe created the universe, through his word (rhēma), such as the command, "Let there be light," it is understood that the universe was not made out of things that are visible to the eyes of men. Humans having awareness of synesthetic perceptions varies from person to person with the perception of synesthesia differing based on an individual's unique life experiences and the specific type of synesthesia that they have. Synesthesia can manifest as a bridge between the five traditional senses, though it can also include other perceptions, such as nociception, thermoception, chronoception, and interoception.
Nevertheless, each human being born every day are either different or similar to the ones who came before them. Humans demonstrate behaviors and actions that have good or bad consequences for everybody involved in a situation or the environment around them.
Perfection is a journey — not a destination. If you ever feel like other people disrespect you by the way you look or act, remember these things:
- Omnicide is a natural process and a core component of natural selection.
- Anthropogenesis came from North America, China, and Northern Africa
- A water molecule is made up of one atom of oxygen and two of hydrogen. The galaxy has enormous amounts of water in gaseous form. Just because you cannot see steam, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
- Subtle sex differences are detectable in younger skeletons, but they become more defined following puberty and sexual maturation by identifying distinct pelvic features. Men can be fat, but they cannot have wide hips.
- Species-wide regional brain sex differences have not been found to exist in humans. Men can be as emotional as women are. There is no significant sex differences in average IQ between men and women.
- While a woman's hormonal cycle lasts somewhere around 28 days, a man's hormonal cycle is over in 24 hours. During the morning, the man's body feels energized and rested, but by the end of the day, the hormones lose the edge.
- Genetic changes that negatively affect health are called mutations. If the mutation is passed down from parent to child, it is called an inherited genetic mutation. However, genetic changes that happen over the course of a lifetime, as a result of the natural aging process or exposure to chemicals in the environment, are called somatic alterations that are acquired in cell(s) not present at birth and therefore can't be passed down to a child. For example, dyslexia is hereditary, but not a genetic mutation.
- Children frequently have a self-preservation mentality from birth and only think about taking care of themselves. On the other hand, adults helping children develop empathy for others and encouraging the children in being able to comprehend their feelings, can have a significant impact on our community's growth and development, guiding us in the direction of a compassionate society. Cultivating young hearts and minds means giving them opportunities to recognize and comprehend a range of emotions.
- Starting your child off by molding their moral principles, ideas, and beliefs, you can assist them in becoming resilient, powerful, and well-rounded social persons.
- The morality that both a child and and adult have could be developed inside a particular social and cultural context and is influenced by feelings and individual goals.
- People who lack moral values can instigate massive negative social consequences.
- How you show up for a child will determine how they show up in society. Moral disengagement is done by separating moral reactions from inhumane conduct and disabling the mechanism of self-condemnation. In social cognitive theory of morality, self-regulatory mechanisms embedded in moral standards and self-sanctions translate moral reasoning into actions, and, as a result, moral agency is exerted.
- Grief is a normal reaction for children to the death of someone significant to them regardless of the relationship or circumstances around the death or absence of a person. Children may take some time to fully accept and even then, may continue to miss their person in their own way. Grief should not be a problem we are trying to fix. It is an experience while we are still living. Mood changes or feelings of grief, even several years out, are a common part of grieving the loss of their person. Society needs to be patient with people — especially children, as they grieve.
- Child maltreatment, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), include physical, verbal, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect and exploitation. These forms of maltreatment jeopardize a child's health, development, and dignity within a relationship of responsibility, trust, or power. Respectful implementation of trauma-informed care strategies when evaluating and treating abused children can minimize further psychological harm and boost support recovery.
- If your child comes to you with questions or concerns about their gender identity or sexual orientation, the most important thing is to listen and let them know that you love them and support them no matter what.
- Gender identity is a person's internal concept of their own gender in a socially constructed community to identify a woman from a girl or a man from a boy.
- Sexual orientation is an inherent emotional, romantic, or sexual attraction to other people. According to Dr. Alan Ravitz, there are no set rules about when children should have sexual intercourse. A recent review from India found that there is a high prevalence of high-risk sexual behaviors among the youth, including low condom use, multiple sexual partners, and poor awareness about STIs and HIV. Child marriage and teenage pregnancies are still a significant concern in India, with almost 45% married before 24 years and 11.9% getting married between 15 and 19 years. In addition to this risk, around one-third of these girls give birth to at least a child before 19 years. Lifetime physical and sexual intimate partner violence in India is 28.8%, one-year prevalence is 22%, and in Jithin T. Joseph's report, gender inequality rank is at 125, meaning that the National Library of Medicine has to go a long way to achieve gender rights for women.
- Gender expression is a person's behavior, mannerisms, and appearance that are socially associated with femininity or masculinity. Aesthetics should not define natural sexual selection in choosing a life-long sexual partner.
- Is the person socially adept?
- Do they treat their family with love, kindness, and respect?
- Do they abuse living things?
- Do they lie, steal, cheat, abuse underprivileged or disabled people?
- Do they know how to manage their property, finances, time, and opportunities?
- Can they communicate their emotions eloquently with respect and empathy?
- According to a very old Jewish mystical tradition, at all times in history, there are 36 righteous men who wandered the earth. Within the rich culture of the Hasidic Jews, this group began to be more and more defined. These secret people are righteous men whose actions are good and compassionate. They do not know that they are among the 36, and their humility is so great that were they to discover that they are indeed these righteous ones, they would cease to be them. Therefore any person who declared himself to be one of the hidden ones would certainly not be one. Only the Lord knows who they are and for their sake he spares the rest of us for the sake of Abraham.
